2017 HISTORIC DOWNTOWN RIDGEWAY SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

Celebrate the holiday season’s sights, sounds and small town atmosphere that is Christmas in Historic Downtown Ridgeway. December 1st & 2nd, 2017. Here’s what we’ve lined up, so far, for this season’s event.

Friday, December 1

• Local School Choirs perform on the porch at Pacific Productions with the official opening by Mayor Wayne H. Redekop. Singing begins at 5:00pm.

• Free Carriage Rides along Ridge Road all evening.

• Boggio & Edwards Pharmacy (307 Ridge Rd.N.) will be hosting Santa Claus for photos from 5:00-7:30pm. Pets are invited after 7:00pm. Hot Chocolate will be served throughout the evening.

• Chameleon Café (238 Ridge Rd.N.) will be serving free hot coffee throughout the evening.

• John Brant Public School is holding a One Stop Christmas Shop on Friday night from 5:00-9:00pm.

• Fort Erie Arts Council presents their Winter Wonderland in the front room of Trailside Bar & Grill (282 Ridge Rd.N.). There will be activities for the kids. Make sure you bring a camera!

• Enjoy story-telling at Ridgeway Village Square hosted by The Journey.

• Beachcombers Seniors Association (237 Ridge Rd.N.) welcomes everyone to their centre for a Mini Bazaar, popcorn and hot chocolate.

• Stop by the Fort Erie Museum (402 Ridge Rd.N.) during the Ridgeway’s Spirit of Christmas event and make your own Victorian Christmas decoration, $1 per ornament. You can also, explore the exhibits and do a little Christmas shopping for the history enthusiast in your family. Friday evening 5-9, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-5.

• Tree Decorating – everyone is welcome to help out Fort Erie Arts Council members with decorating our Christmas Tree at Ridgeway Village Square as well as our tree across the street by the Friendship Trail. Thank you to the Ridgeway Lions Club for their generous Christmas Tree donation.

• Visit your favourite merchants downtown to pick up passport stamps by purchasing an item from the store. You could win a wonderful gift basket! You’ll be entered into the draw with each purchase.

• Breakfast with Santa at the Ridgeway Legion (228 South Mill St.) from 9:00am till noon.

• Ridgeway Winter Market , Upstairs Banquet Hall at the Ridgeway Legion.

• Free Carriage Rides along Ridge Road.

• Visit your favourite merchants downtown to pick up passport stamps by purchasing an item from the store. You could win a wonderful gift basket! You’ll be entered into the draw with each purchase.

• Merchant Christmas Sales & Specials in Downtown Ridgeway.

• Holidays In The Beach. Celebrate Downtown Ridgeway’s ‘Spirit of Christmas’ with the 3rd annual “Holidays in the Beach” from 11:30am-3:00pm. Explore the handmade and one-of-a-kind wares of local vendors and direct marketers alike! A great way to shop locally for unique Christmas gifts! Hosted by the Sanctuary Centre for the Arts, 209 Ridge Rd.N., Ridgeway.

• Spirit of Christmas In Downtown Ridgeway – All Saints Anglican Church Christmas Bazaar. This year’s bazaar features something for everyone. There will be crafts & knitting gift ideas, a bake table, Christmas decor, Penny Auction, touch & take, All Saints Attic with china & knick knacks, luncheon with homemade soup and a Christmas Dinner Draw! The event takes place from 9:00am-1:00pm at All Saints Anglican Church, 149 South Mill St., Ridgeway.
