Strike up the Bands! It’s Summer Concert Time in Ridgeway!
Showcasing all that is good about Niagara, Concerts on the Ridge brings great Niagara talent to Ridgeway’s Village Square Sunday evenings.
It’s a sure sign of summer when Ridgeway’s Concerts on the Ridge begins its outdoor concert series. It’s the second season of live entertainment showcasing Niagara talent.
The Concerts on the Ridge Series has quickly established itself as the place to be on Sunday evenings! This year’s concerts are: June 25, July 23, 30, August 23 and September 3, 2017. All of the concerts commerce at 7:00 PM and are free to the public. A goodwill offering is collected to help with the funding of the concerts and also to begin fundraising for new lighting displays in downtown Ridgeway.
The philosophy of the Concerts on the Ridge is to offer local Niagara talent the opportunity to showcase in their hometown market. “We strongly feel that Niagara has great amateur and semi-professional talent to share”, stated organizer Mary-Lou Ambrose-Little. “Our 2016 performers included Spencer McKenzie, The Bryce Moore Band, Finnegan’s Wake, Lincoln Concert Band and Kindred.”
The entertainers for the 2017 series: June 25 – McPherson’s Rant; July 23 – Peace River Band; August 6 – Cameron Lee and Mary Lou Minor & Sideroad 3; August 27 – The Jimmy Marando Swing Band & September 3 – Sunset Rebels.
Village Square in Downtown Ridgeway is truly the spot to be on Sunday evenings with much to see and do! These concerts are on alternate weeks with our neighbours in Crystal Beach who offer the Waterfront Series, so there will be lots of great entertainment available this summer in Fort Erie!
Ridgeway Business Improvement Area (RBIA)
The RBIA is pleased to present the Second Annual Concerts on the Ridge Series. This season five concerts are scheduled for your enjoyment featuring Niagara talent.
Our Organizers: Rob Faragalli, Rick Beckett and Mary-Lou Ambrose-Little with many volunteers assisting on concert evenings.
Refreshments will be provided by the Ridgeway Legion Branch #230.
In addition food vendors will be on site each night for your convenience.
Bring your lawn chair and a friend for an evening of great entertainment.
Goodwill donations will be collected during the intermission. Your dollars will help to off-set the concert costs and the remaining will be donated to the “Light Up the Downtown Project.” This will allow the RBIA to improve lighting in the downtown core year round!
