2017 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

OUR VOLUNTEER MISSION:

To provide an ultimate experience for festival patrons, Ridgeway Fall Festival is a food, fun and music festival and in 2017 our priority is our event image. Be proud to work together to show visitors and residents what a strong community we are as well as to bring locals back downtown to enjoy a positive experience. We are the team behind the success of the Ridgeway Fall Festival. This event simply could not take place without the hard work and dedication of over 20+ volunteers who handle everything from planning to hospitality. With the support and generosity of time from the volunteers, we are able to offer this great one-day of family activities, food, art and music.

TRAINING:

Volunteers will be required to attend a brief training session to better acquaint themselves with the operations and officers of the event prior to the festival. Volunteer Coordinator, Matt Ferguson, will contact volunteers to advise them of training sessions.

COMMITMENT:

Please give everyone your best effort and stay for the entire time you promised to attend. If you are willing to sign up then you are expected to be willing to complete your shift. If any issues arise, please send us an email and we will deal with the situation.

Patrons are our #1 priority! Remember they are the guests to our party and should be treated accordingly.

PATIENCE:

We look forward to seeing over 5,000+ guests during the day. Please have patience and confidence in our TEAM working together. This is a great networking experience and of course, a lot of fun!

VOLUNTEER HEADQUARTERS:

Our Festival Headquarters is located atTrailside Bar and Grill, 282 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway. The headquarters is in the office to the left of the restaurant main entrance.

You must check in and out at the BIA office at 282 Ridge Road North for every shift. When checking in, you will receive information on your crew manager, on site duties, your food and drink voucher. Checking out when you complete your shift ensures Coordinators can determine who is on site at what time. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in. Completion of time sheets is done at HQ’s. At the end of all shifts, a Volunteer Coordinator will sign off on volunteer hours, so please remember your forms!
