Celebrate the holiday season’s sights, sounds and small town atmosphere that is Christmas in Historic Downtown Ridgeway. Choirs, Carriage Rides, Christmas Tree Decorating, Storytelling, Winter Wonderland display, photos with Santa, Fort Erie Arts Council Christmas Art Market, One Stop Christmas Shop at John Brant PS, Breakfast with Santa at the Ridgeway Legion, Christmas shopping & more. Here’s a look at the weekend lineup;

  • Opening Ceremony with Mayor Redekop at the Village Square – 4:45 PM
  • Local Children’s Choirs perform on Friday evening at the Village Square:
    St. George’s Catholic School – 5:00 PM
    John Brant Elementary School (JR) – 5:40 PM
    John Brant Elementary School (SR) – 6:10 PM
    Stevensville Elementary School – 6:45 PM
    The Hit Men Marching Band – 7:15 PM
    Greater Fort Erie Secondary School 7:20 PM
  • Take a Horse & Buggy Ride along Ridge Road Friday and Saturday.
  • Free Face Painting from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Brodie’s Drug Store. (315 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Enjoy the Hit Men Marching Band at Spacifix at 6:30 PM and help with the food drive! (401 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Get your photo taken with Santa at Boggio & Edwards Ridgeway IDA Pharmacy. (307 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Reading of the “Night Before Christmas”, hot apple cider and sing a carol for a discount at Lakeside Books & Art. (341 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Winter Wonderland Display and photos at Trailside Bar & Grill. (282 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Christmas Shopping & more at our stores with Merchant Christmas Sales & Specials in downtown Ridgeway.
  • A Christmas Art Market at the FEAC Hub & Gallery. 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. (244 Ridge Road)
  • Stay warm and toast marshmallows by our wood burning pits along the street.
  • Meet the Grinch at Lasting Impressions. (327 Ridge Rd.N.)

  • The Annual Christmas One Stop Shop at John Brant School, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (143 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Experience the Living Nativity of the first Christmas 5:30 PM, 6:15 PM & 7:00 PM at the Journey. (Dominion & Ridge Roads)
  • Visit the Fort Erie Museum in Ridgeway and make your own vintage Christmas ornament. Cost for this family-friendly activity is $1 per ornament. Admission to the museum is free for the weekend. (402 Ridge Rd.N. – next to the Fire Hall).
  • Free hot cocoa & cookies at Wild Daisies (333 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Hot cider & goodies at Ridgeway Wellness Centre (355 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Free hot chocolate at Royal Lepage (318 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Free cookie decorating at Sweet Dreams Ice Cream Parlour & Stewarts’ Fried Chicken. Look for Santa & his Singing Penguins to make an appearance! (367 Ridge Rd.N.)
  • Our Corner Cafe will be collecting non-perishable foods before or after your horse & buggy ride (411 Ridge Rd.N.)

  • Say “hi” to Santa at the Village Square and in the stores from 12 noon to 4:00 PM.
  • Special movies at The Ridge Film House. Sponsored by Sally Howard from D.W.Howard Realty, there will be two movies screened at 2:00pm – ‘Polar Express’ and ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’. Admission is free for these two films but seating is limited so come 45 minutes early to receive your free tickets while supplies last. KIDS HALLOWEEN PARADE … HISTORIC DOWNTOWN RIDGEWAY ONT … October 31, 2019

Celebrate the arrival of the Great Pumpkin with over 600 of Ridgeway’s finest wee ghousties & goblins as they venture out for their annual trick or treat parade – October 31st through Downtown Ridgeway. Watch as munchkins, minions and costumed characters of all sorts descend upon the Downtown Ridgeway business community in search of sugary sweets & treats. Scary stuff to be sure. A long-standing Ridgeway tradition – Happy Halloween!
