RBIA 2018 Vision for Success

The Ridgeway Business Improvement Area is led by a board of 8 volunteer members and 1 paid employee who are charged with promoting Ridgeway.

Some of the events we put together include the Farmer’s Market which operates on Saturdays from May 5 – October 13.  The market has become one of the most highly regarded, well attended and sought-after markets in the Region.

In conjunction with the Farmers’ Market are our Art by the Market vendors, where talented artisans create handmade products.

The Summer Festival sees a portion of Ridge Rd.N. closed with artisans, vendors and food booths setting up shop along the street.  There is also a fantastic car show on Sunday.  2019 will mark the 29th year of the event.

The Fall Festival, which this year is Saturday, September 29, takes place just before the Farmers’ Market closes for the summer season and is a smaller version of the Summer Festival with food booths, artisans and vendors out on the street by the Market.  This event is growing quickly and becoming a great attraction to the community.

The Spirit of Christmas event is also well known in the area.  It brings families to downtown Ridgeway to partake in the “spirit” of the season, while listening to the school choirs, seeing Santa, enjoying the horse drawn wagon rides and specials from several businesses.  This year, please joins us on December 7th & 8th.

What’s Next?

This year sees a new project the from the RBIA where we will start to “Light Up Downtown Ridgeway”.  One phase of this vision would see lights crisscrossed over a good portion of Ridge Rd.N.  Another would have lights in the trees along the street.

While the RBIA has a budget to do some of the above, there isn’t enough to cover everything, which means we rely on donations.  If you appreciate Ridgeway and would like to show your support by making a donation to support a certain event, or just to help out in general, please see the Sponsor sheet below which outlines different support levels.
